We are getting all the glacier experience we need by Vatnajökull and the Glacier lagoon Jökulsárlón so we do not need to go there

We make good use of this very long day tour approximately 14+ hours. Additionally we visit the canyon Fjaðurárgljúfur, short stop at Kirkubjæjarklaustur, Skaftafell national park were we will hike a short hike up to Svartifoss.

At Jökulsárlón we go for a boat ride on the glacier lagoon. We also go see the close by Fjallsárlón another smaller and also beautiful glacier lagoon.

Remember the weather is everchanging here in Iceland.

So best to take along both good rain and windgear and good shoes.

Hiking shoes are best suited for Iceland’s rough terrain even on these day tours – If you want to get close and personal or get that good photo shot you might have to cross some rugget land.

You will travel in a comfortable 4 wheel drive vehicle suitable for the gravel road surfaces on which we travel to some of the scenic points we visit. We travel in a group of a maximum of 12 people which we usually find creates a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere which is welcoming for small groups or single travelers. The Guide will have a lot of local knowledge and should be able to answer any questions you might have about the area.

Some of the sites will be visit on the way out to Jökulsárlón while other will be seen on the way back – this will be decided by the guide on the day of travel and can be determined by the weather and or if places are crowded or for the right light for a more enjoyable experience.
